“Our son Myles has played sports since he was 5 years old. It is a priority in his life. He attends Centerville High School and is active in football, basketball, baseball and track. He was so very excited for his high school career to begin and that all quickly came to a halt at a football game early in the season. He had a complete ACL tear and he was physically and mentally devastated. We were referred to Dr. Vinyard and we can’t say enough great things about him.
Myles went into his first knee surgery last October and 2 weeks later after being x-rayed, Dr. Vinyard realized he needed to go back in there and rework the repair. Dr. Vinyard was not only clinically excellent but his compassion, communication skills, and advice helped all of us see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Myles began his rehab and it was a very long road to recovery. Dr. Vinyard and our Sports Therapist at Mercy-Centerville, Drew Higgins, not only visited with Myles about his rehab but also mindset and nutritional importance. Myles was then referred for 2 follow ups with the rehab group that works with Dr. Vinyard. That therapist was excellent as well.
I can happily report that after, what seemed like forever, Myles was able to start training with his Centerville Big Reds baseball team at the end of May 2018. Myles was a part of the varsity starting team that led them to earning the State Title 2A Championship in baseball. Myles has daily continued to train and work hard from recommendations he received from Dr. Vinyard and Dr. Higgins. He is not only at the top of his game physically, he had more energy than he has ever had. We can’t thank Dr. Vinyard and his team enough! You are truly awesome!”
