I came in with pain in my lower back, I was checked in and getting X-rays done within 15 minutes of a walk in. Theresa came in and examined me and figured out what was wrong within 5 minutes, gave me a care plan and some medications and I was in and out within 45 minutes and able to pick up my medicine within 30 minutes! Highly recommend this office if you are injured!

I am so happy that Iowa Ortho has an UC in Johnston. I injured my knee and was unable to bear weight. I hobbled in at 6:30pm and they were able to see me. Leslie Brown PA was so professional and compassionate as well as the entire staff. While I require additional care, I am so glad I didn’t need to go to the ER and wait for hours. Highly recommend!

Sarah Kehoe created, quite possibly, my best doctor-visit experience to-date. The urgent care clinic was readily available for walk-in appointments. Sarah was extremely informative, responsive, empathetic, and comforting with her words. I went in with some known sports injury knee issues, and was mostly looking for reassurance and a referral for an MRI. In an out in under an hour, including X-rays. You’re a gem, Sarah Kehoe. You do great work.

Iowa Ortho always has my best interest in mind. I have been a patient for many years. I just recently had an appointment with Leslie Brown PA-C at the urgent care Johnston site. You can walk in an get an appointment and be seen. The wait wasn’t long. Leslie Brown was extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I ended up getting an injection in my knee. I’m not a fan of needles, but Leslie Brown did a great job with the injection and i felt little to no pain during the procedure. I definitely recommend iowa Ortho and Leslie Brown PA-C if you have an injury and need to be seen!!

My son recently had his first ever injury. We drove around to different urgent care clinics and nobody could get him in for hours and required an appointment to see him (what’s the point of urgent care then?). We went to Iowa Ortho Urgent Care in Johnston and they didn’t hesitate to see him at all. The nurse, X-Ray tech, and Dr. Light were all very patient with him and took the time to explain things and listen to him. Very quick and got the next steps rolling immediately! I went to Iowa Ortho Urgent Care with pain in both knees from doing a lot of yard work in the prior week. They got me into an exam room, quickly, and, then, took me to get x-rays of my knees. Shortly thereafter, Leslie Brown came to my room and went over the x-rays with me. She showed me where my arthritis was continuing to erode the cushioning between my leg bones in my knees. She explained my options. I opted for an injection for my left knee and to get an MRI for my right knee, as it was more painful and felt like surgery may be necessary. Leslie was great. She explained everything very well. She is very knowledgeable and professional. I am now waiting to hear from Iowa Ortho regarding scheduling my MRI and my appointment with the surgeon. I am pleased with the help Iowa Ortho is providing.

Went in to Iowa Ortho Urgent care for chronic knee pain. Xrays were administered and after they were reviewed, it was suggested (and I agreed) to a cortisone shot. A day later and knee is much better. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. Would definitely recommend.

Iowa Ortho is wonderful. I hurt my foot & was concerned that it was broken. Their Urgent Injury Clinic was able to help me right away. An xray showed two broken bones and Leslie, the PA, was able to explain everything to me clearly and fit me in a boot to promote healing. I am almost pain-free when wearing the boot. I appreciate their fast, professional service.
